This Year The Rashtrapati Bhawan Is Conducting the Padma Awards.
The first ceremony held on 21 March. Where 54 Personalities were given the honour. The Awards are conferred in three categories – Padma Bhushan , padma vibhishan and Padma Shri.
This year list comprises 4 Padma Vibhishan , 17 Padma Bhushan and 107 Padma Shri. Total 128 Awards are being presented. This year 34 women’s are honoured by Padma Awards. The list also includes 10 foreigners.
Former Chief Minister Of Uttar Pradesh kalyan Singh was honoured with the Padma Vibhishan for his work in the field of Public Affairs.
Tokyo Olympics 2021 Gold medalist Neeraj Chopra honoured with the Padma Shri by President Ram Nath Kovind.
A grassroots agricultural innovator from Karnataka , Abdul Khader Nadakattin honoured with Padma Shri by President Ram Nath Kovind.He has been credited with 40 Innovations that assist small and marginal farmers across India.
In Foreigners , A Irish Professor also awarded the Padma Shri for his contribution in popularising Sanskrit Language In Irish School.
4 People were conferred the Padma Vibhushan Award.
1. Parbha Atre – Art – Maharashtra.
2. Shri Radhey Shyam khemka – Literature and Education – Uttar Pradesh
3. Shri kalyan Singh – Former Chief Minister Of Uttar Pradesh
4. General Bipin Rawat – Civil Service – Uttrakhand.
17 People received the Padma Bhushan Award for this Year at Investiture Ceremony 2nd at The Rashtrapati Bhawan.
117 People conferred the Padma Shri Award this Year.
